    Manual QA Tester

    The next great challenge is coming:

    We are looking for a QA Tester to join our team on a contract basis.

    QA Tester will be responsible for comprehensive game testing to identify defects and provide feedback on user experience. Testers collaborate with development teams, follow tailored test plans, and ensure all assigned bugs are retested and updated. They contribute to a positive testing environment and participate in game reviews to assess functionality against design specifications.

    Superpowers you have:

    • At least 1 year of experience in QA testing in gaming industry;
    • Understanding of game production processes, quality standards, and testing methodologies;
    •  Expertise in using data to analyze project performance, identify gaps, and implement process improvements;
    •  Familiarity with platform testing tools;
    • The ability to communicate problems and to understand the requirements of the development teams;
    • The ability to confidently participate in and contribute to meetings and their agendas;
    • Ability to clarify and escalate relevant issues where you feel the severity is misunderstood;
    • Ability to communicate problems and understand the requirements of the development teams;
    • Ability to work as part of a team and independently;
    • Great imagination and creativity;
    • Energetic and flexible approach;
    • Close attention to detail;

    Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

    • Test games to destruction to find and document all defects, working based on priorities set by team leaders;
    • Compile a list of defects or any issues in design or implementation during a testing cycle;
    • Ensure all bugs assigned to QA are regressed and updated accordingly;
    • Work side-by-side with the development teams to track issues and assist in their remedy;
    • Follow a set test plan or broader testing focus instructions that will be bespoke for each game;
    • Develop a good understanding of the different types of testing and execute those tests to a high standard;
    • Understand the end user perspective and provide feedback on the game’s fun factor, progression, or difficulty, constructively and respectfully;
    • Maintain a positive atmosphere in the testing department;
    • Participate in game reviews and evaluations to measure the functionality of a game against its design specification;
    • Perform other tasks assigned by the direct manager if needed.
