We are looking for an experienced VP of Legal to further develop and build our legal team and processes worldwide. Join our passionate team of professionals and take a unique chance to work on world-class projects.

Superpowers you have:

  • Significant experience leading in-house international business legal activity, with strong experience in global corporate structure, global labor, commercial and investment law;
  • Strong understanding  of GDPR and tax structuring for different jurisdictions;
  • Solutions and action orientated, with strong business acumen;
  • Ability to effectively partner with the company leaders to move the business forward;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast past environment
  • Strong experience of developing global and remote working legal teams. Focussed on driving collaboration, strong team structure and continuous process improvement;
  • Proven track record of intense negotiation, communication, organizational, and management skills;
  • Proven track record in executing complex transactions with foreign companies;
  • Master’s Degree in Law.

  • Experience of transforming and building an inhouse legal function for a global business that is scaling.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

  • Lead corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company’s matters;
  • Take the lead in identifying and addressing potential legal issues and risks for current activities, operations, and strategic initiatives and manage litigation;
  • Identify solutions with a keen focus on driving the business forward;
  • Lead a develop the group legal team, design and implement a model that supports the business strategy.  Continue to drive capability development and high performing culture within the team;
  • Be an active member of the Business Services Leadership team;
  • Manage contract and regulatory compliance;
  • Develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures within the area of responsibility;
  • Develop and lead internal audit and corporate compliance programs;
  • Advise CEO, COO, shareholders and other senior corporate officers on a variety of legal issues;
  • Draft and negotiate complex agreements. Counsel internal clients on rights, obligations, and restrictions under existing contracts and legal risks related to our strategic relationships;
  • Review, research, interpret, and prepare both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues;
  • Support research activities on establishing operations in new jurisdictions;
  • Optimize work of the internal unit and related processes: creation/review and negotiation of contracts and agreements;
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for other members of the legal team and other functional groups and business units, including advising on related public disclosures;
  • Conduct periodic reviews of work quality and costs of external legal service providers;
  • Participate in the ISMS Committee activities.
