Celebrating the UK games industry at the MCV/DEVELOP Awards 2026! 

On June 18, the UK games industry gathered at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London for the MCV/DEVELOP Awards 2026, an annual ceremony recognizing companies and organizations shaping games in the UK. 

Room 8 Group was proud to be part of this year’s celebration, with our team on the ground: Juanita Draude, Chief Executive Officer; Julien Proux, Chief Content Officer; and Anna Berdnyk, Deputy Head of Business Development. 

This year, Room 8 Group was shortlisted in two categories: Service Partner of the Year and Co-Development Studio of the Year. Being named among the finalists is a meaningful recognition in itself—especially as these categories reflect exactly what we focus on every day: partnering with teams across development, art, QA, and technology to help bring games to life. 

As part of the ceremony, Juanita Draude presented the Outstanding Association Award, a category recognizing organizations that support and strengthen the games industry. This year’s nominees represented some of the UK’s most influential non-profit and community-led organizations, championing everything from diversity and mentorship to education, industry advocacy, and career access. The category held particular significance for us because we believe that the long-term success of the games industry is shaped by the communities, initiatives, and organizations that support its people and drive its growth.
