ROOM 8 GROUP, one of the largest independent video game service providers in the world, announced that Eric Williams has joined the company as Senior Director, Business Development. ROOM 8 GROUP consists of Dragon’s Lake Entertainment for AAA and AA game development and Room 8 Studio for all aspects of art production and mobile and cross-platform game development. The ROOM 8 GROUP brands work collaboratively within the same ecosystem as well as independently to give developers and publishers a powerful option when choosing a partner.
In his new role, Eric will manage publisher and developer relations implementing strategic business initiatives which will bring new content to the market developed by Room 8. He will focus on building new partner relationships, and addressing new business verticals for Room 8 Studio and Dragon’s Lake in the Americas. The studios provide outsourced services for full cycle game development, co-development, porting, and art.

Eric began his 15 year career at Sprint (now part of T-Mobile) managing both the technical and business aspects of their consumer entertainment product portfolio. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to drive global business development for video startup, AIO TV and later, music start up, NextRadio. He co-founded Rogue Games, a US-based mobile games publishing company, where he also served as COO.
ROOM 8 GROUP has been busy with key hires over the past few months including bringing on Brian Waddle as President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Previously, Brian worked as North America & Japan Business Development for QLOC, focused on AAA game development, QA, and Localization. Before that he served as President of Sales & Marketing at Virtuos and Global VP Sales & Marketing at Havok. In 2019 he spearheaded a group of investors that purchased Telltale Games.
