    Business Development Manager

    Room 8 Group is an end-to-end strategic partner in external game development. Working across all platforms, we provide creative and technical expertise across full-cycle dev, co-dev, art, trailers, and QA for AAA and AA games.

    Since 2011, Room 8 Group has built creative partnerships with world-leading publishers such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony, Gameloft, Take2, EA, and more. While leveraging our own cutting-edge tools and R&D capabilities, we have co-created a multitude of award-winning projects for video game IPs and franchises including Call of Duty, Diablo, Assassin’s Creed, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, and many more.

    The Business Development Manager will join a global team of dedicated professionals delivering world-class services to the international video games industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales and business development, with proven success in generating new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships within the game development sector.

    This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution across all touchpoints, supporting the growth and success of our client partnerships.

    Superpowers you have:

    • Experience: Minimum 3 years in corporate strategy, corporate development, sales, or business development, with at least 6-12 months specifically in the gaming industry, or military background or experience as a college athlete, with at least 3 years of sales or business development experience in the IT industry.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including advanced presentation capabilities to engage stakeholders effectively.
    • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of technical platforms, business models, and trends, with a focus on Gaming, Streaming, or Game Engines (e.g., Unreal Engine or Unity).
    • Account Management: Proven experience managing and monitoring performance metrics across multiple accounts or account portfolios, ensuring client satisfaction and business growth.
    • Organization & Planning: Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Collaboration: Ability to maintain and nurture relationships with clients and internal production teams to align business goals and deliver high-quality outcomes.
    • Passion for Gaming: A genuine enthusiasm for the gaming industry, with a deep appreciation for its trends and innovations.

    • Client Acquisition & Retention:

    o Identify and secure new business opportunities within the gaming industry.

    o Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.

    · Account Management:

    o Manage client portfolios, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

    o Monitor account performance metrics and address any client concerns proactively.

    • Collaboration & Coordination:

    o Work closely with internal teams (production, marketing, finance, etc.) to align client requirements with company capabilities.

    o Act as a bridge between clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.

    • Strategic Planning:

    o Contribute to business strategy by analyzing market trends, industry shifts, and competitor activities.

    · Proposal Development:

    o Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals tailored to client needs.

    o Negotiate contract terms to align with both client expectations and company goals.

    • Market Insight:

    o Stay updated on gaming industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities.

    o Leverage insights to position the company as a leader in the field.
