We are expanding our technological leadership by investing in Gameplay Engineering for game development. We are now seeking a Gameplay Engineering Director to lead this vision.
As Gameplay Engineering Director, you will lead the newly created gameplay engineering division across projects. You’ll provide both technical leadership, team management, and strategic direction, enabling cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, performant, and scalable gameplay features across all platforms and all game engines.
Superpowers you have:
- A minimum of 10 years of software development experience in the games industry on various games, including multiplayer games and large AAA games.
- At least 5 years of experience as a gameplay programming lead
- Experience in multiple programming and scripting languages from the industry (C++, C#, Blueprint etc.)
- Wide experience on multiple game engines from the industry (Unreal Engine, Unity 3D/ CryEngine/ or any custom proprietary engine used to create AAA games)
- Work experience with gaming consoles, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo platforms.
- Web development experience (HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQ,L etc.), both frontend and backend, and mobile development experience is a plus.
Education, skills, and knowledge:
- Software engineer with an MS in Computer Science or similar education
- Strong leader with a strategic mindset, positive and diplomatic, with good communication skills
- Confident knowledge of 3D Math, Trig, Linear Algebra skills, and calculus.
- Familiar with modern practices of object-oriented programming and processes.
- Comfortable with Perforce, Git, or another version control system.
- Highly self-motivated and eager to learn new systems and skills.

Technical Leadership
· Structure the Gameplay division to be able to provide gameplay programmers, scripters, or technical game designers to various games, on various engines.
· Drive innovation in the gameplay programming area, including the usage of GenAI and the improvement of existing production pipelines.
· Organize collaboration with the Core Engineering division on all relevant technical aspects, including rotation of specialists from one division to another based on both company needs and personal career evolution wishes.
· Organize the usage of best coding practices defined by the core engineering division, for code structure, maintainability, performance optimization, and documentation, and use the same existing capacity management tools and processes as the Core Engineering Division.
Team Management & Mentorship
· Lead, mentor, and grow a team of gameplay engineers, scripters, and technical game designers with varying levels of experience.
· Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment that encourages ownership, creativity, and accountability.
· Ensure continuous development of engineering talent through feedback, coaching, and career development plans.
Project Execution
· Ensure that the gameplay programming teams work closely with game designers, level designers, animators, and UX/UI designers of Game Production and Art Business units to translate gameplay and behavior ideas into robust technical solutions.
· Oversee the development of gameplay systems and features across console, PC, and mobile platforms.
· Guide the rapid prototyping, iteration,n and quality processes to validate gameplay concepts.
Systems Development
· Ensure that the division delivers clean, maintainable, and efficient C++, C#, or UE5 Blueprint or Angel script code (or other scripting or visual scripting languages based on the engine used)
· Ensure delivery of well-adapted and performant technical designs and their implementation both for multi-player and single player games, including various gameplay systems for NPCs, behaviors, PCs controls, animation trees, Cameras, UX, Animation etc.
