Are you passionate about video games and want to break into the world of testing? Do you have a basic understanding of C#, Nunit automation framework and dream of making games more awesome? We’re looking for a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll learn to build and execute automated tests, improve game quality, and work alongside experienced mentors to kickstart your testing career in automation.

Please take into account that in order to be eligible for this role, you must be located in Poland.

Superpowers you have:

  • Solid grasp of C# Fundamentals: You understand the basics of programming, object-oriented concepts, and are eager to apply these skills to testing games.
  • Basic understanding of NUnit (or similar .NET testing frameworks): You’re familiar with the concepts of test cases, assertions, and how these frameworks are used.
  • Test Fundamentals: You grasp core testing concepts like test cases, bugs, and the purpose of testing. Even theoretical knowledge or understanding the “why” behind testing is valuable.
  • Ability To Learn Quickly: You’re eager to learn, adapt to new tools, expand your game-centric automation testing knowledge, and grow your skills.
  • Passion for Games and Testing: You love playing games, have a knack for finding ways to break things (constructively!), and are eager to make them better.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You’re a natural troubleshooter, enjoy tackling challenges, and finding creative solutions.
  • Collaborative Drive: You thrive in collaborative settings, value open communication, and are excited to learn from experienced team members.

You’re a rockstar if you have:

  • Basics of NUnit, XUnit, or another .NET testing framework, even through simple tutorials, and learned how to apply them in practice.
  • Some experience with Unity, Unreal, or other game engines, even if it’s creating small personal projects, or through tutorials.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.)
  • Personal coding projects (games, mods, tools, etc.)
  • A Computer Science degree (or from another applicable field like math) or relevant certifications/training in software testing, test automation, or programming (ISTQB, C# certifications, online courses) showcase your commitment to continuous learning and a solid foundation in software development and testing principles.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience with GameDriver for test automation while participating in training to develop your C# skills, testing knowledge, and overall automation expertise.
  • Design and write automated test cases that effectively check game functionality and ensure a positive player experience.
  • Work closely with game developers, testers, engineers and other team members to identify testing needs and improve workflows through game-centric automation.
  • Troubleshoot issues within your test scripts and investigate potential bugs in the game code, refining your problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share ideas and suggest ways automation can improve game features and quality.
  • Stay updated on testing principles, techniques, and best practices in the game development industry.
  • Receive role preparation training and the opportunity to work in a hybrid system after full role adaptation.

Join the team of inspiring game dev professionals, and get even more:

  • Competitive financial reward (yes, we are fair enough);
  • Challenges to raise your XPs score (professional training and conferences, internal mentorship, English courses);
  • Private Medical insurance;
  • A culture of diversity and inclusion to unite the most outstanding talents;
  • Community of people who understand and share your passion for games.
