While the festive season is over, we decided to take a look back at 2019 and recognize the award-winning games of our partners, that we’ve been honored to work on.

Donut County recognition in 2019 

Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game developed by American indie developer Ben Esposito and published by Annapurna Interactive. Room 8 Studio team was involved as a turnkey porting to the Nintendo Switch provider for the game.

Angry Birds Dream Blast recognition in 2019

Angry Birds Dream Blast is a bubble-popping puzzle game featuring the young Angry Birds flock, developed and published by Rovio. Room 8 Studio was involved in level design for the game.

International Mobile Game Awards (IMGA): nominee 

Google Play: Best Games of 2019, winner

Ashen recognition in 2019

Ashen is an action role-playing game developed by New Zealand studio A44 and published by Annapurna Interactive. Room 8 Studio was involved as a turnkey porting to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 provider.

Control recognition in 2019 

Control is an action-adventure video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games. Room 8 Studio was involved to produce a 3D environment for the famous game.

Sports Party recognition in 2019 

Sports Party is a sports simulation game on Nintendo Switch, developed by Magic Pockets and published by Ubisoft. Room 8 Studio participated as a co-development partner in this project.

Empires & Puzzles recognition in 2019 

Empires & Puzzles is a completely new take on match 3 puzzle games, combining RPG elements, raids and building a mighty castle—topped with thrilling PVP duels. Room 8 Studio was involved as a character concept art provider.

Gwent recognition in 2019 

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by CD Projekt. Room 8 Studio was involved as a  VFX, 3D and animations provider for the game. 

SXSW: Most Promising New Esports Game, nominee 

Digital Dragons Awards: Best Polish Game Art, nominee

Creature in the Well recognition in 2019 

Creature in the Well is a top-down, pinball-inspired, hack-and-slash dungeon crawler. Room 8 Studio was involved as a turnkey porting to Nintendo Switch provider.

Unreal E3 awards

  • Outstanding Original Game, winner 
  • Unreal underdog, nominee
