We’re excited to release to the public our Game Development Industry Survey 2025
We surveyed 79 games industry insiders from companies like Amazon Game Studios, Blizzard Entertainment, Paradox Interactive, Remedy, SEGA Europe, Sony Interactive and dozens more—91% of whom have decision-making authority in the industry—asking them 24 questions about game development and their company’s approach to it in 2025 and beyond.
We’ve created a report based on our findings, which you can download now. In it we extract the main insights from the data and lay them out in a digestible, easy-to-read format.
The purpose of the survey was to better understand the needs of developers in 2025 and beyond, especially in the context of working with external vendors. As a leading co-dev partner we want to ensure our solutions align with developers’ expectations and industry realities.
Through our survey we found some interesting trends related to the game dev industry overall, such as:
- many expect content production demands to keep growing even as budget grows slower (or doesn’t grow at all);
- 60% of respondents are planning to implement AI, are already using it, or are actively evaluating options, while 13% are against its use in production;
- just 3% of respondents prefer to work with multiple vendors if it is possible to work with fewer—though work quality/expertise in specific areas is paramount;
- and more, which you can find in the report.
