Julien Proux and Guillaume Carmona join BAFTA

We’re excited to share that Julien Proux, Chief Content Officer, and Guillaume Carmona, VP of Game Development at Room 8 Group, have officially joined the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) community as Full Members. It is well-deserved recognition that places them among the most respected leaders in the global games industry. 

Julien’s illustrious career spans nearly three decades and three continents. He’s led teams and built studios across Europe (France, Germany, Ukraine), North America (Canada), and Asia (Singapore, Taiwan, China)—developing a globally informed perspective along the way that few can match.  

He’s contributed to some of the biggest game franchises in the world, including Resident Evil, Assassin’s Creed, Need for Speed, Sleeping Dogs, Silent Hill, Call of Duty, and Rayman, working alongside—and for—industry giants like EA, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, and Activision. 

Guillaume brings to BAFTA an impressive 14-year tenure at Ubisoft. He contributed to iconic titles such as Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, Valiant Hearts, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.  

He also managed landmark franchise games including Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Far Cry 5, and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. With 112 games under his belt, Guillaume’s expertise spans strategic partnerships and market expansion. 

Julien’s and Guillaume’s BAFTA membership is a great milestone that reflects not only their leadership and creative impact, but also their commitment to helping shape a more inclusive and inspiring future for the industry.
