New Expansion for Crusader Kings III Released on Consoles: “Tours and Tournaments” 

Crusader Kings III players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 can now dive into the Tours and Tournaments expansion. Developed by Paradox Interactive in partnership with Dragons Lake by Room 8 Group, the expansion lets your characters engage in diplomacy, combat, and explore a range of new settings. 

We’ve been working with PDS Black for 12 months to maintain the console versions (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) of Crusader Kings III. During this time we managed to: 

• Port DLC-related content and adapt it to consoles  

• Continue improving and optimizing existing game UI/UX for consoles  

• Polish the game and fix various legacy issues, including multiplayer “out-of-sync” issues caused by problems in gameplay code  

• Improve the game and engine code to reach the required level of stability on Xbox Series S given the console’s level of memory optimization, and to “teach” the game to work with the console’s memory constraints 

The Tours and Tournaments expansion invites players to partake in royal weddings, jousting tournaments, thrilling hunts and more. Whether hosting a lavish wedding to strengthen a union or using such events to weave a web of deceit—this expansion enriches the Crusader Kings III experience on consoles.

Starting from November 18, players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles will be able to travel a regal medieval world in search of prestige, fame, and adventure.  

This partnership between Room 8 Group and Paradox underscores the dedication of both teams to deliver a top-tier experience for console players, ensuring that Crusader Kings III continues to shine as a masterpiece of grand strategy even beyond its PC origins. 

Features of Crusader Kings III: Tours and Tournaments include: 

• Grand Tournaments: Host a grand demonstration of feats of arms, attracting nearby nobles and wandering knights. Choose the events, set the destination and use the tournament to improve your social standing or military prowess. 

• Grand Tours: Take a trip through your realm to take stock of your vassals, gifting them with your benevolence or extorting them for higher taxes. 

• Grand Weddings: Save your gold for an elaborate ceremony that centers the real meaning of marriage – politics. Honor your in-laws, cater to your vassals and demonstrate your power. 

• Travel System: Plan your route to these great activities, choosing safety through civilized lands or risking everything for a more direct route through dark forests or dangerous mountains. Ease your way with a large entourage that marks your importance or travel light so you can get down to business. 

• Knightly Accolades: Honor your best knights with special titles and accolades that will give bonuses to them and the armies they lead. 

• New Armor Designs: New historical armor designs from across the centuries, integrated with the new Tournament and Accolade systems. 

• New Western Clothing: New art for clothing designs will show how fashions changed and evolved in Western Europe from the time of the Carolignians to the closing of the medieval era.
