Room 8 Group, in collaboration with LaSalle College, has announced the jury panel for GameJam 2024, a student game development competition set to take place November 22-24 as part of TechWeek. The event is designed for experienced students enrolled in video-game-related programs at LaSalle College.
GameJam is a unique and valuable opportunity for our students to step into the world of real-world game development. It allows them to test their skills, receive expert feedback, and tackle industry challenges in a supportive environment. This event fosters innovation, collaboration, and creativity, helping shape the next generation of game developers in Canada and beyond.

The jury for this year’s GameJam includes experienced professionals from Room 8 Group, representing key areas of the gaming industry:
- Benjamin Paquette, Head of Game Design
Benjamin has over 25 years of experience in game design and development. He specializes in leading the creation of new game concepts and systems as part of a unified vision. He regularly collaborates with the biggest game developers and publishers, and also enjoys coaching and mentoring more junior developers. - Maxime Villandre, Production Director
With more than 25 years in the industry, Maxime focuses on innovation, creativity, and market trends in entertainment and gaming. - Luc Blouin, VP of Global Accounts
Luc brings over 30 years of experience in sales and business development, including 15 years working with leading game development companies. - Clement Lelong, Head of Art
Clement leads creative teams exploring the intersection of art and technology, including the use of machine learning in creative processes. - Martin Trudeau, Lead 3D Artist
Martin is an experienced 3D artist who brings practical insights into 3D game design and execution.
