Room 8 Group Appoints Julien Proux as the Executive Vice President of Art

Room 8 Group, a global leader in external game development, announces the appointment of Julien Proux as the Executive Vice President of Art. In his new role, Julien will spearhead the development and implementation of the overarching strategy for the Group’s Art Service Line, which encompasses Room 8 Studio, Massive Black, and PUGA Studios. 

As the Executive VP of Art, Julien will also be in charge of creating a suite of realigned and forward-looking solutions tailored for the diverse market segments aimed at driving growth and delivering exceptional value to Room 8 Group’s partners. Optimizing the service line structure and streamlining processes to ensure seamless collaboration, flexibility, and superior art creation across multiple locations is also among his key priorities.

Julien Proux, Executive Vice President of Art at Room 8 Group

Julien Proux brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. With a game industry career starting in 1997, he has established himself as a seasoned entrepreneur and game maker. Throughout his professional journey, Julien has been at the helm of multiple teams responsible for shaping some of the industry’s most iconic game franchises and standalone titles. Among his notable achievements, Julien led art teams for five entries in the acclaimed Need for Speed series, playing a pivotal role in creating Assassin’s Creed 3, Sleeping Dogs, Resident Evil 3 (2020), Call of Duty Online, and more. His leadership roles within game development companies began in 2000, encompassing stints at Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and Activision, as well as various studios across North America, Europe, and Asia.
