ROOM 8 GROUP is joined by Paul Mackman as Managing Director of the Trailer Production Unit

Room 8 Group is an acclaimed games industry service provider of high-end art, design, game development, and trailer production.

The company is always looking for innovative ways to serve its clients, which is why we added trailer production to our roster back in 2018. Fast forward to 2022, and Paul joins Room 8 Group as Trailer Production Unit Managing Director.

As MD, Paul’s role will be to develop and execute the business strategy for this increasingly independent service line. We forecast rapid growth and diversification in this area, alongside that of Room 8 Group in general. It’s expected that the trailer production unit will become a separate company division, much like the art department.

Paul started his career as a writer and later worked as a producer for companies including Rebellion and Double Negative before becoming the COO of animation and VFX company Axis Studios, with its significant focus on game trailers and cinematics. Having also worked in TV, film and games development, he is familiar with every aspect of storytelling, production and client service, as well as the strategic elements of running a successful business.

We’re really excited to have Paul on board. There’s a huge market potential for trailer production, and it will make a great addition to our service package. I think Paul’s background as both a creative and a business leader will be instrumental in what he’s been tasked to achieve.
