Room 8 Group Joins The XP Game Summit 2024

We are excited to announce our participation in XP Game Summit 2024 in Toronto, Canada.

XP Game Summit is back this year, offering an incredible lineup of activities over two days. This event is a prime opportunity to connect with global industry professionals, explore crucial industry trends, and develop new and innovative business opportunities. The Summit focuses on the critical role of intellectual property (IP) in video games, featuring a series of expert speakers, masterclasses, and exclusive panels on identifying, building, expanding, and exporting game IP.

Hunter Wright, one of our experienced game directors, will be speaking at the Summit. With 15 years of AAA console and PC game development experience, Hunter has built and led multiple development teams and contributed to award-winning franchises such as Fable, Borderlands, The Walking Dead, Payday, Brothers in Arms, and Aliens. 

Hunter’s presentation will be about art direction and gameplay in game remakes, where he will give practical advice on how to retain a game’s essence while making necessary improvements for a contemporary audience.
