    VP of Dev Production

    The VP of Dev Production is responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction to the Dev Production organization within R8, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the company’s quality standards and financial goals. This role goes beyond direct production oversight by establishing scalable delivery models and processes, managing resource allocation across multiple teams, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, which include revenue growth and margin compliance.

    As a senior executive, the VP of Dev Production will collaborate closely with all BU VP, internal stakeholders, and production units to ensure the successful execution of large-scale projects. This role will focus on enabling the organization to scale efficiently while maintaining high standards of visibility and reporting

    Superpowers you have:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or agile methodologies are preferred.

    Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles within the game development, IT, or professional services sectors.
    • Proven experience managing large-scale delivery operations with P&L responsibility.
    • Experience in scaling operations and implementing process improvements.
    • Multicultural and international team management experience is required.

    Perform strategic tasks such as:

    1. Leadership & Strategic Management

    • Lead the dev productions unit across BUs, ensuring that it operates efficiently and aligns with R8 strategic goals for revenue growth and profitability. Implementing the Hybrid production model
    • Define and implement a scalable delivery model that supports both current operations and future growth initiatives.
    • Align delivery objectives with broader business strategies, contributing to R8 long-term vision.
    • Collaborate with the executive team and Senior Development Production Directors to integrate production standards, and client expectations into unified business outcomes.

    2. Oversight & Accountability

    • Supervise allocation of resources in Bus and across Bus to fit quality needs and margin expectations
    • Ongoingly monitor and track all project delivery and ensures escalation and timely mitigation in case of deviation.
    • Monitor and manage the allocated margin across all delivery functions, reporting regularly to senior leadership on financial performance.
    • Lead initiatives for improving margin, and project accounting.
    • Drive cost efficiency across delivery operations without compromising quality or client satisfaction.

    3. Resource Allocation & Talent Management

    • Ensure effective resource allocation across all Bus, projects, balancing team capabilities and client demands.
    • Manage the performance of Dev Production teams, providing guidance and development opportunities to ensure optimal performance.
    • Lead talent development initiatives to ensure Dev Production teams stay competitive and are prepared for future market demands.

    4. Delivery Excellence & Process Innovation

    • Oversee the implementation of delivery frameworks and methodologies that align with best practices in the game development and professional services industries.
    • Ensure rigorous performance monitoring, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project health, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
    • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance quality assurance and risk management, ensuring that project deliverables consistently meet or exceed client expectations.

    6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

    • Ensure seamless communication between the delivery unit, production units, and other business functions.
    • Work closely with the Head of Production and other N-1 leaders to align delivery processes with production standards, sales objectives, and client needs.
    • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to support business development efforts, ensuring that delivery capabilities are well represented in client pitches and proposals.
    • Actively mitigate conflicts and ensure alignment between business units for the best overall outcomes.

    7. Risk Management

    • Establish risk management strategies that proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks that could impact project timelines, quality, or financial outcomes.
    • Implement contingency plans for high-risk projects to ensure minimal disruption in case of unforeseen challenges.
